The objective of the course is to provide participants who have a background in Social Sciences or Earth Sciences with an introduction to GIS (Geographic Information Systems). This course aims at highlighting the specific qualities of GIS regarding visualization and combination of datasets with a spatial component.

tobyThe instructor for this course is Toby Daniel MSc who has a background of Geo-environmental Engineering and Information Technology spanning over 20 years. Toby holds a BSc in Geology from UCL and a MSc in Geomaterials from QMC University of London. Along with industry experience in this field he has also worked as an IT Specialist and has been a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Trainer.
